(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – An officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle yesterday morning on Highway 35 south of Lindsay to investigate an offence.
The officer found that the driver of the vehicle was disqualified from driving as a result of a Criminal Code conviction. The driver, Stephen GILLINGHAM, 48 years of age, of Peterborough was arrested and charged with Driving While Disqualified contrary to Section 259(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on November 5, 2015.
His vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for 45 days.
