(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On December 20, 2014 at approximately 1:30 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Highway 6 near College Avenue in the City of Guelph.
Police investigated the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet that entered into the check point and immediately detected the strong odour of fresh marihuana inside the motor vehicle. Officers seized a clear baggy that contained a green leafy substance believed to be bud marihuana.
Stephanie TOERING age 20 of Guelph has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 30, 2015 to answer to the charge.
