Stabbings/Robbery

On Sunday December 8, 2013 shortly after midnight, numerous persons were visiting an apartment at 160 Emery Street West. A disturbance broke out within the apartment during which four of the visiting males received stab wounds. The four involved males fled the scene afterwards. One of the involved males went to a home in the neighbourhood to request assistance. The 20-year-old man was subsequently taken to hospital where he was treated for stab wounds. He was initially listed in critical condition.

A second involved male was located at hospital and treated for non-life threatening stab wounds. He was subsequently arrested as part of an investigation for aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, related to this incident.

The two remaining males were located later in the day and arrested for an investigation into an offence of armed robbery, related to this disturbance. They were also taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening stab wounds.

As of Monday morning, the male in hospital originally listed as critical condition, was listed in fair condition. He has also been arrested for the offences of armed robbery and carrying a concealed weapon. There are no outstanding suspects in this case.

As a result of the investigation, the following people have been charged with Criminal Code of Canada offences:

– Steven Antone, 21 years of London, was charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon contrary to section 343(d); and carrying a concealed weapon, contrary to section 90(d)
– Cody Ireland, 19 years of London, has been charged robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, contrary to section 343(d)
Frederick Doxtator-Ireland, 21 of London, was charged with robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, contrary to section 343(d)

– Atkin Mati, 20 years of London, has been charged with aggravated assault, contrary to section 268(2); and two counts of assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a).
