(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday April 19, 2011, shortly after 9 a.m. a Perth County OPP officer was on patrol on Perth road 107 north of Shakespeare. The officer observed a fast moving south bound motorcycle approach. The officer activated the police radar which registered the motorcycle’s speed at 142 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. As a result of travelling 62 km above the posted limit the 47 year old operator from the Township of Perth East will have to appear in Stratford court on May 24, 2011 to answer to the charge of racing a motor vehicle. The male’s driver’s licence was also suspended for seven days and his motorcycle was towed from the scene and impounded for a week.
