Special weather statement in effect for:
Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
Listowel – Milverton – Northern Perth County
Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County
Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County
Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 millimetres are expected with a low pressure system approaching this evening and the rain will continue into Tuesday.
Rain from this low will move into areas extending from Lake Huron to the Golden Horseshoe by early this evening, then spread northeast to remaining regions including the National Capital by midnight.
The rain will come to an end on Tuesday night as the low pressure area moves away into Quebec.
These rainfall amounts are below the criterion of 50 mm rain in 24 hours required for a rainfall warning.
