(SOUTH RIVER, ON) – A 65 year old South River man was charged with numerous firearm related offences after the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a domestic occurrence on Thursday October 9, 2014.
Police obtained a warrant, entered the residence and seized four non-restricted long guns, one restricted handgun and variety ammunition. Police arrested and charged the accused with assault, pointing a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, and unauthorized possession of a weapon contrary to the Criminal Code.
The accused is to appear for a bail hearing on Friday October 17, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound, Ontario.
