Snowmobiler Airlifted To Hospital

(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers along with Huron County EMS responded to a snowmobile crash yesterday afternoon that has led to serious injuries to the young male driver.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m. emergency personnel responded to the collision scene located at a farm property on Clegg Line near Jamestown Road. The initial collision investigation has revealed the injured male was driving solo on an Arctic Cat 700 snowmobile when he attempted to ramp over a large hill in the field. As he got to the top of the hill he lost control of his sled. He was thrown from the sled and he became entangled in the machine as it toppled over him.

The 20 year old male driver from Morris-Turnberry was initially transported by land ambulance to hospital in Wingham. He was later transferred to hospital in London by air ambulance. He remains in hospital with serious injuries.
