SNOWMOBILE DRIVER CHARGED WITH DRINKING AND SLEDDING

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On February 22, 2014 at approximately 2:34 a.m. a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a Motorized Snow Vehicle (MSV) on Waubeek Street in the Town of Parry Sound.

The driver exhibited signs of intoxication which led to further investigation at the roadside. As a result, the driver was arrested then transported to the West Parry Sound OPP detachment to perform breath tests for analysis of his blood alcohol level.

Trevor MCALLISTER, 28 years of age from Parry Sound was charged with Driving While Disqualified – Provincial Suspension and Driving With More Than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on March 20, 2014 to answer to his charges.
