BREAK & ENTER AT MINDEN HYDRO YARD

(HALIBURTON, ON) – Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a Break & Enter and Theft at the Hydro One yard on Highway 35 in Minden Ontario. Sometime between the evening of February 21 and the early morning hours of February 22, 2014, thieves gained access to the yard by cutting through the chain link fence. Numerous items were stolen from the Hydro trucks and trailers including 6 gas powered saws and 12 – 15 coils of copper wire wrapped in orange insulation. The total value of the items stolen is estimated to be at $15,000.
