(TEMAGAMI, ON) – A member of the Temagami Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a single vehicle, snowmobile collision on March 8, 2014 at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Police attended Cassels Lake where the 29-year-old operator was being treated by ambulance and was escorted to the hospital. He sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Further investigation resulted in criminal charges. The motorized snow vehicle was towed and impounded.
Jonathan RUTA of Burlington, is charged for Impaired – section 253(1) (a) of the Criminal Code and Over 80 – section 253 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
Accused will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on April 8, 2014.
