(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on the scene of a snowmobile collision on the property of Crestwood Secondary School.
Just before 9:00am emergency crews were called to assist with a collision at the school. A snowmobile ridden by a 17 year old student of Crestwood had collided with a fence. The student was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with serious injuries.
Members of the Highway Safety Division (HSD) Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting with the investigation. The investigation is on-going and no name is being released until all family members are notified.
