Due to the large winter storm, Barrie Police report a large number of vehicles that were unable to drive up hills, notably Anne St and Bayfield St and many vehicles stuck in snow drifts.
Barrie Police remind residents to drive according to conditions and to have snow tires installed for the winter months.
Remarkably few accidents were reported during the storm.
In addition, Barrie Police remind residents with the recent snow storm activity, the City of Barrie has issued a Winter Maintenance Event.
Under Barrie Bylaw2007-209 the City of Barrie has declared on street parking restrictions.
These restrictions will allow the City of Barrie snow removal crews access to all streets to efficiently clear Barrie Streets.
Residents are reminded to refrain from on street parking until the restriction is lifted.
