On Friday February 24 th , 2017 an Owen Sound resident reported to police that her ex-partner had broken into her residence and caused damage to her property. The investigation revealed that the couple had been out the evening before celebrating an occasion with drinks when a dispute began.
At the end of the evening the victim decided to stay away from home for the evening. Upon returning home the next day the victim found that her patio door had been smashed and some electronics within the residence damaged.
The victim’s ex boyfriend was arrested later that day and is being held for a bail hearing. The 28 year old Owen Sound resident is charged with break and enter with intent to commit and indictable offence and mischief under $5000 dollars.
The accused, who was already on bail at the time, is also accused of breaching three separate conditions of that recognizance of bail.
