(KILLALOE, ON) –The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently at the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 60 at Highway 41 west of Eganville.
On March 28, 2015 at approximately 1:50am officers from the Killaloe OPP Detachment attempted to stop a motor vehicle with emergency equipment activated. The motor vehicle failed to stop for police and due to safety concerns, the officer stopped following the fleeing vehicle and immediately de-activated all emergency equipment.
The suspect vehicle was located a short time later and had been involved in a collision. Two of the three persons in the vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending.
The province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) was notified by the OPP and has invoked it’s mandate. Any further inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at 416-622-2342.
