SIOUX LOOKOUT OPP REMAIN BUSY

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON.) The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) remained busy over the last 24 hours, responding to 28 calls for service, with some resulting in charges against offenders.

During the afternoon of August 14th, members of the Sioux Lookout OPP observed an intoxicated male on Front Street making obscene gestures to pedestrians walking past the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). As a result, police have arrested and charged 37 year old Marcel CORBIER of Sioux Lookout with causing a disturbance. CORBIER remains in custody at this time.

Later on the same afternoon, officers on patrol observed a vehicle being driven on King Street, occupied by a passenger who was wanted on outstanding charges. Upon stopping the vehicle, police also discovered that the passenger was consuming liquor in the vehicle while it had been driving. Charged with breach of probation and consuming liquor in other than a private place is 21 year old Jamie HUDSON of Sioux Lookout. HUDSON remains in custody at this time.

In the early morning hours of August 15th, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Drayton Road. The investigation revealed that a female occupant had assaulted a male occupant in the residence, and also damaged property belonging to the male occupant. A 27 year old Sioux Lookout residence was charged with assault and mischief to property. The accused remains in custody at this time.
