SINGLE VEHICLE ROLLOVER LEADS TO ARREST OF IMPAIRED DRIVER

(ARMOUR TWP, ON) On Saturday July 5, 2014, the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call to attend Leggett’s Road, Armour Township after a silver, Chevrolet Venture Van, that was stolen from a Kearney, Ontario residence was involved in a single vehicle collision.

OPP arrived at the collision and the driver of the vehicle was subsequently arrested for impaired driving. The accused was charged with driving while ability impaired, driving while disqualified, theft under $5000 of a motor vehicle and drive motor vehicle over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused, Zeth LAKING, 31 of Whitby Ontario was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sundridge, Ontario on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
