(PORT HOPE, ON) –On August 2, 2016 at 1:52pm the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 65 in the area of the 4th Line in the Municipality of Port Hope involving an orange pickup truck.
The driver, a 17 year old local female, was transported to an area hospital by ambulance then to a Toronto area trauma centre with life threatening injuries. Her male passenger sustained non-life threatening injuries.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) have been requested to attend the scene and assist detachment officers with the investigation.
County Road 65 between the 4th Line and the 5th Line is closed to all traffic and will remain so for the next few hours.
No other vehicles were involved.
