(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a noise complaint yesterday just after 10:30am.
Residents in the area of Sunset Drive, Cavan-Monaghan Township complained about numerous shots being fired in the area. Officers responded and spoke with two men who were sighting in a rifle. Neither man had authorization to possess firearms.
Scott Douglas BAKER (age 44) of Cavan-Monaghan Township and Cristopher David FLEET (age 59) of Toronto, ON were both arrested and charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm under the provisions of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused males are scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on July 30, 2015.
