(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Friday, October 30, 2015 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an injured male after a firearm was accidently discharged inside a residence in the Municipality of Meaford.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 22-year old male was cleaning a 410 shotgun when it accidentally discharged. The projectile passed through an interior wall into an adjoining room where it struck another male.
The 48-year old victim was transported to a local hospital where he was air-lifted to a Toronto hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Grey County OPP continue to investigate the incident.
