SHOPLIFTING LEADS TO DRUG CHARGES

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two persons in relation to a theft and drug possession in the City of Orillia.

On September 4, 2014 at approximately 5:40 p.m., the OPP were contacted in relation to a theft that had taken place at a local store. When officers arrived on scene they found a male and female behind the retailer removing price tags from merchandise. After further investigation officers discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia. The two parties were arrested at the scene.

Aaron WEATHERHEAD, 25 years old of no fixed address, was charged with Shoplifting, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marihuana and Possession of Other Drugs.

Ada CHEPYHA, 24 years old of Orillia, was charged with Shoplifting, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Other Drugs and Bail Violations.

Both parties were held in custody and will next appear in Barrie court on September 8, 2014.
