Sheldon Anthony WALSH – Break and Enter, Breach

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 24-year-old male after police investigated an incident at a Norfolk Street South, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.

On Monday, January 23, 2017 at approximately 12:46 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned community member reporting a break and enter in progress.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a male was seen exiting the storage area of the building carrying various items. The male was stopped by the owner of the building however fled from the area in an unknown direction.

Officers attended the area and subsequently located the male running east from an alleyway near Peel Street and subsequently took him into custody without incident.

As a result of investigation, police have charged 24-year-old Sheldon Anthony WALSH with break and enter and fail to comply with probation order.

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.

“The OPP would like to take this opportunity to thank the alert resident that immediately contacted the police to report this crime. Through the course of their actions we were able to take this male into custody without incident,” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County OPP.
