(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On February 10, 2016 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious workplace accident at Trimac Transportation Services located on Wellington Road 124, Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Officers responded along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS) and the Guelph Fire Department. A man was doing repairs to a chemical storage tanker and was exposed to nitric acid. He was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. His name will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
The Ministry of Labour attended and is now investigating.
