(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On December 17, 2015 Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle collision that occurred on Oxford Road 8, west of Washington in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. police were called to the collision where the lone female driver needed to be extricated from her vehicle.
Investigation revealed the single motor vehicle was travelling westbound on Oxford Road 8 when it collided with a trailer also travelling westbound carrying bales of hay. The trailer was being towed by a red or orange older style farm tractor which failed to remain at the scene.
The female was transported by Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The Plattsville Fire Department attended and assisted with the scene.
