(Loyalist Twp, ON) Two people have been taken to Kingston General Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries following a collision on Taylor-Kidd Blvd this afternoon.
At 2:20 pm, an eastbound Ford pickup truck, and a westbound Chrysler Intrepid collided atop the railway overpass just east of County Road #6.
The occupants of the Intrepid, a 62 year-old man and a 14 year-old boy, were seriously injured in the crash and were extricated from the vehicle by the Loyalist Township Fire Department. They were both transported to Kingston General Hospital by paramedics where they remain in critcal condition.
Taylor-Kidd Blvd has been closed to traffic in both directions between Coronation Blvd and County Road #6. It is anticipated that the road will remain closed for several hours while OPP collision investigators work at the scene.
