(LEAMINGTON, ON) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Leamington, are currently at the scene of a crash on Oak Street East in Leamington.
OPP Officers, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Leamington Fire Service were called at 6:30 p.m. to attend the scene at the intersection of Lutsch Avenue and Oak Street East for a vehicle that collided with a residence.
The vehicle, with 5 occupants, was southbound on Lutsch Avenue approaching Oak Street East when it lost control and crashed into the front porch of a residence on the south side of Oak Street East.
All 5 occupants were taken to area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to life threatening. No one inside the residence was injured.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) has been called to assist in the investigation.
Oak Street East between Plumbrook Drive and Pickwick Drive as well as Lutsch Avenue between Hyatt Crescent and Oak Street East are currently closed and expected to remain closed for several hours while the investigation is conducted.
