Serious Collision Closes Granton Line

(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – On November 20, 2017, at approximately 5:40 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Biddulph Blanshard Fire Department responded to a two motor vehicle collision on Granton Line.

The driver of a dark coloured pick-up truck travelling southbound on Granton Line lost control of the vehicle and partially rolled, coming to rest on its side on the roadway.

The immobilized pick-up was then struck by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) traveling northbound on Granton Line.

The 52-year-old, female driver of the pick-up truck was extricated from the vehicle and transported to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

The 61-year-old, male driver of the SUV was also transported to hospital by ambulance with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Granton Line is closed between Head Street and Breen Drive for approximately four (4) hours. Motorists will have to find alternative routes.

OPP Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) officers are on scene to assist with the investigation.
