Members of the Major Crime Section have continued to investigate the assault that took place outside 337 Southdale Road East, first reported just before 6:30am on July 15, 2014. Police have determined that the assault took place almost seven hours earlier, on July 14, 2014. The victim, 63 year old Michael Barnhart, remains in hospital in stable condition.
On Monday, August 11, 2014 London Police Service members arrested two males in relation to this incident.
Timothy Scott Rex, 41 years old, of London, is charged with one count of aggravated assault.
Christopher Charles Rex, 59 years old, of London, is charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to the offence of aggravated assault. Both men are being held pending a court appearance on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.
