(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is presently investigating the death of male who was the victim of an apparent stabbing that occurred on May 23, 2016 at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Main Street near Skull Island. Police have a section of Main Street closed to aid in this investigation.
Deceased is Erick TELLO ARIAS 23 year old male from Caledon, Ontario.
This incident is being investigated by members of the Central Region Support Team, Detectives from Crime Units throughout Central Region, the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU) and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Randy Wright of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
A post mortem examination will be conducted on Monday, May 24, 2016 at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service in Toronto.
