SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED IN LONGLAC

(LONGLAC, ON) – On December 18, 2013 a search warrant was executed at a home in Longlac by members of the Drug Enforcement Section, Greenstone Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), Anishinabek Police Service (APS), Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS), and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment.

Police located an amount of cannabis marihuana, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia inside the residence.

Police arrested and charged the following individuals for offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

1. Jessie TURNER a 27 year old female from Longlac, Ontario was charged with;

– Traffic in a Schedule I Substance, Ecstasy
– Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Ecstasy
– Possession of a Schedule II Substance, Cannabis Marihuana Under 30grams
– Possession of a Schedule II Substance, Cannabis Resin Over 1gram

2. Yanick BOURGOIN a 38 year old male from Longlac, Ontario was charged with;

– Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Ecstasy
– Possession of a Schedule II Substance, Cannabis Marihuana Under 30grams
– Possession of a Schedule II Substance, Cannabis Resin Over 1gram

The accuseds were held for a show cause hearing on December 19, 2013. TURNER was released on a Justice of the Peace Recognizance. BOURGOIN was later released on a Justice of the Peace Recognizance as well.
