(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment and the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a Rainham Road, Selkirk, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Friday October 17th, 2014 during the mid – morning hours Police attended the Rainham Road address and executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant and while conducting the search officers located and seized a quantity and Cannabis Marihuana. The value of Marihuana seized is approximately $10,000 dollars.
While conducting the search officers also located evidence of electrical service tampering, which required the services of Haldimand Hydro to make the area safe.
Charged with Possession of an illegal drug (marihuana) and Possession of an illegal drug for the purpose of trafficking (marihuana), and Theft of Electricity is 51 year old Todd McCormack of Haldimand County, ON. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
