SEARCH CONTINUES FOR MISSING MAN – DESCRIPTION OF BIKE UPDATED

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Based on updated information received, the bike used by Mr. HANDZIK has now been described as a small boy’s mountain bike rather than an adult size bike, and it is primarily black in colour with some red. Police are asking the public to contact the OPP immediately at 1-888-310-1122 should they observe and or find a bike similar to this description, specifically in the Eugenia – Grey Highlands area.

Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) continue their search for George HANDZIK. The OPP helicopter will be assisting in the search today, Thursday, August 22, 2013.

Mr. HANDZIK, 84, of Napoleon Street, Eugenia, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands, was last seen at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20th, riding his bicycle east bound on Concession 8 towards the causeway in Eugenia. He was reported missing on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 7:28 p.m.
