(FERGUS, ON) – On May 8 2015 at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of students walking towards Maranatha Christian School in Fergus possibly carrying long guns. Numerous OPP officers attended and the school lockdown procedures were initiated.
Investigation revealed that the students were filming a school project and were using pellet guns as props with teacher’s awareness. The guns were secured and the lockdown was lifted.
