(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On December 4, 2013 at approximately 11:55 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) R.I.D.E team were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Highway 6 near Paisley Road in the City of Guelph. At this time and location officers investigated the driver of a 2002 Chevy Impala that entered into the checkpoint and a substantial quantity of marihuana was seized.
Samuel Finlayson aged 23 of Kitchener has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 7, 2014 to answer to the charge.
