Ryan LEBEAU – Drunk Driving Snowmobile On Sidewalk

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 34 year old snowmobiler with Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol following a traffic stop early Saturday, March 8, 2014. Just before 2:00 a.m. a Huron County OPP officer spotted a snowmobile travelling southbound on the sidewalk on Main Street in Seaforth. The driver of the Arctic Cat snowmobile was stopped and when the officer was speaking with the driver he detected the odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath.

A roadside screening test was performed which the driver failed. He was arrested and transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician; Both tests were over the legal limit.

As a result, Ryan LEBEAU, 34, from Seaforth, has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on April 7, 2014. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
