Russel PFAFF – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 62 year old male is facing a charge of Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol following a traffic stop last night. At approximately 9:15 p.m. a Ford pickup truck entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint that was set up at Victoria Avenue and King Street in Crediton. A Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spoke with the driver and noted the driver had been drinking alcohol.

A roadside screening test was administered which the driver failed. He was arrested at the scene and transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician; both tests were over the legal limit.

As a result, Russel PFAFF, 62, from South Huron, has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on April 17, 2014. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
