Ronald BLAKE – Impaired

(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On July 22, 2016, at approximately 6:39 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an intoxicated male attempting to get into a motor vehicle in a grocery store parking lot on Main Street.

Concerned citizens assisted in detaining the male by speaking to him until police arrived. Officers determined that the male in the driver’s seat of the green Dodge pickup truck, had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests, which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the police investigation, 66-year-old Ronald BLAKE, from Chatham-Kent, Ontario, is charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol), and care or control over 80 mgs., contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on August 29, 2016.
