Ronald BABIN – Drunk Driving

(COLLINGWOOD, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male driver overnight with impaired driving as a result of a collision in Collingwood.

On the 25th of August 2015 shortly after 1:00am, OPP officers and Collingwood Fire Department members were dispatched to a residence on Seventh Street in regards to a vehicle that had hit a gas meter, knocking it loose from the wall. Police interactions with the driver of the vehicle found that he was under the influence of alcohol which led to his arrest and transport to Collingwood detachment for processing.

Charged is 58 year-old Ronald BABIN of Collingwood, he is facing charges of driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired by alcohol and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood. He is to appear in Collingwood court on the 8th of September 2015.
