(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Wednesday May 16, 2012, shortly after 9 p.m., Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Road 175 south of Line 87 (west of Listowel).
The driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier which had rolled did not sustain injuries but display signs of impairment. The driver was transported to the North Perth OPP Detachment in Listowel for breath tests. The driver failed to provide two breath samples as required by statute.
Robert Powell (35) of Howick Twp has been charged with “impaired operation of a motor vehicleâ€Â, and “fail to provide breath sample into approved instrumentâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear in Listowel Court on June 27, 2012, to answer to these charges. He was also issued a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
