(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division (HSD)-Kenora Team have charged a Winnipeg man with Impaired Driving following a vehicle stop.
On Tuesday May 19, 2015 shortly before 3:30 pm, HSD members conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 17a in the City of Kenora. Police determined the driver had been consuming alcohol. He was arrested and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, 44 year old Robert MCGEE of Winnipeg has been charged with Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Operating a Motor Vehicle With More than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b)CC. He is to appear in Kenora Court on July 9, 2015 to answer to the charge.
