(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 9, 2014 at approximately 7:37 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers observed a Ford Edge being operated erratically on Highway 6 near the Second Line of Nichol in Centre Wellington Twp.
Police spoke with the driver at that time and location and discovered that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
Robert Atchison age 73 of Burlington has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on April 1, 2014 to answer to the charge.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
