(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a retail robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the suspect responsible.
On July 20, 2014, at approximately 1:45am, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store situated along the 1300 block of Richmond Road. The suspect initially appeared to be purchasing cigarettes but when payment was required, the suspect made a demand for cash. The suspect fled the premises empty-handed. No weapon was seen and there were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 50 years of age, approximately 5’6†(168cm), medium build and balding. He was wearing a white button-down shirt at the time of the robbery (see pictures.)
