(NORTH PERTH, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and the Perth County OPP Crime Unit are currently investigating a robbery that occurred on October 11, 2016 at approximately 7:07 p.m., which took place at the T & J Variety located on Winstanley Street, Monkton. Two males entered the store and presented a weapon to the store clerk. They made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, lottery tickets, along with cigarettes and were last seen running southbound.
The two males are described as:
1 – 5’5” – 5’9”, slim build, dressed all in black, wearing a black Puma hooded sweatshirt with bright yellow lining inside the hood and yellow accents along zippers
2 – 5’10” – 6’, solid build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and an analog watch with a white face and hands
The West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine, and the Forensic Identification Unit (Mount Forest) are assisting with the investigation.
