Damage To Charity Drop Boxes In Kincardine

(KINCARDINE, ON) – The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to investigate damage and theft to Kidney Clothes Foundation donation boxes. One is located next to Knotty Pine Restaurant along Broadway Street in Kincardine and the other is located next to Timber Mart along Highway 21 in Kincardine Township.

Reported to police on September 1, 2016, the damage is believed to have occurred between August 10, 2016 and August 27, 2016. The boxes were forcibly entered and the donated clothing was taken. There is no estimate available for the loss of the stolen clothing, but the cost of repairs to the donation boxes is estimated to be more than $3,500.

Suspicious vehicles and suspicious people should be reported to police as soon as possible so that an officer can investigate.
