Robbery In Colborne – Jason Gordon IVANY Arrested

(COLBORNE, ON) –On August 22, 2016 at 10:00pm the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a robbery that occurred at the Mr. Convenience store on Toronto Street in Colborne.

The ensuing investigation revealed that a lone male wearing a white mask entered the store and showed the clerk what appeared to be the butt of a handgun tucked in his waistband. A demand for money was made and the clerk complied. The suspect then fled the store on foot. The clerk was uninjured.

Please cancel the below alert. The suspect has been arrested and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on August 31, 2016 for a bail hearing. Northumberland OPP would like to thank the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.

As a result of the investigation, a suspect had been identified.

Jason Gordon IVANY age 38 is wanted on charges of Robbery, Disguise with intent and Assault with a weapon. IVANY is a Caucasian male, 6 3” (191cm), 176lbs (80kg) with brown hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos on his arms. He is known to frequent the Cobourg and Colborne areas and should be considered armed and dangerous. If seen, do not approach the suspect and contact police by dialing 9-1-1.
