(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is advising that County Road 18 (Burnham Street) from Danforth Road to Dale Road in Hamilton Township will be close because of white out conditions presently in the area. The road closure is at the direction of Northumberland County so that road crews can safely get the snowplows there to clear the road.
OPP have responded to three motor vehicle collisions in that area this afternoon. No injuries were reported.
County Road 30 east of Warkworth is also experiencing severe whiteout conditions.
At approximately 2:10 pm Northumberland OPP, Trent Hills Fire Department (THFD) and Northumberland Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are on scene of a serious two vehicle collision on County Road 30 near 1st line west in Trent Hills. Both drivers are being transported to hospital. Traffic is being detoured at County Road 30 and County Road 29 to the south and at Percy Boom Road to the north.
