(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Sunday July 13, 2014, around 12:45 p.m., an officer with the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting patrols on Perth Road 130 south of Sebringville, when a south bound motorcycle was observed travelling at an extremely high rate of speed. The officer utilized police radar and determined the motorcycle’s speed to be 136 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The motorcyclist was pulled over by the officer and the offending rider, a 24 year old male from Thames Centre was charged with “race a motor vehicleâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford court on August 12, 2014 to answer to this charge. His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days, and his motorcycle was impounded for a week.
