Members of the Barrie Police Traffic Unit and Uniform Patrols conducted a R.I.D.E. program for the second evening this weekend at several locations throughout Barrie. As a result we are pleased to report that only one arrest for a small quantity of Cannabis (Marihuana) was made. There were no 3 Day-Warn Range suspensions or Impaired Driving arrests. There was a large contingent of people coming through the spot-checks that had utilized Taxi’s or Designated Driver Services. Our message continues to be the same, if you plan on consuming alcohol, please keep your motor vehicle out of the equation. The Barrie Police Traffic Unit thank those who made the right choice this weekend.
