On Saturday morning the Barrie Police Service attended a Johnson St. apartment in regards to a reported domestic incident. Upon arrival the officers were able to determine that the female involved had sustained a bloody nose from being punched in the face by her common-law husband. The intoxicated male was arrested. Further investigation revealed that the 29 year old accused was bound by bail conditions not to associate with the female and to abstain from drinking, as a result of a previous domestic incident. He was charged with assault and two counts of fail to comply recognizance. The accused was held for a show cause hearing. The victim did not require medical attention.
