(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers were conducting a RIDE check at Simcoe Street and Isaac Street in Scotland, ON.
At approximately 10:08 p.m. Friday November 8th, 2013, officers stopped a green 1996 GMC pickup truck. While the officer was talking to the male driver, he could smell the odour of alcohol on his breath. The driver was given the Roadside Screening test. As a result of the test he was transported to the County of Brant OPP detachment for Intoxilyzer Tests.
Richard GOVIER 44 years of age from the County of Brant is facing the following Criminal charge: Drive over 80 milligrams
The accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on December 13th, 2013 to answer to the charge.
