(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Sunday, June 8, 2014, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a residence on Southgate Road 10 in the Township of Southgate as a result of a residential alarm.
Witnesses observed an unknown male exit the front door of the residence. Police attended and the male was arrested for break and entering. He was found to be in possession of break-in tools.
Joseph Damian YORKE, 45, of the Township of Southgate, was charged with break and enter into a dwelling and possession of break-in instruments.
YORKE was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for Monday, June 9, 2014.
